Does iPad charge with cover on and iPad is asleep?

  • Yes, the cover sleeps the screen and the iPad charges normally. If you put it bed side, you can use it as an alarm (while charging) with the case closed or open for example using the native iOS 6 alarm clock-schedule (neat).
