Does the cover detach or is the "Smart Case" one piece encompassing both the new backing and original smart cover fused together?

  • The Smart Case is one whole piece. Therefore you cannot detach the cover, if you would like a cover instead then choose the Smart Cover. Also, there are certain cases online which cover the back of the iPad and leave a space to attach the Smart Cover with it. This means that the cover can detach!

  • The SmartCase is one unit. The folding cover is fused the back, and does not detach.
