Holy Smoley-one has to wonder where some folks take their iPads so as to get all sorts of stains, spotting; etc; on the covers. In any event, you are wise to simply use a good quality lint free damp-NOT wet-cloth to clean your blue leather cover.

It's NOT recommended that you use any so called 'specialized removal' products on either type of Smart Cover-leather or polyurethane. Such products could impact negatively on the screen, casing and the interior of your iPad2 if an accidental spill occurs. With water you, at least, have a chance that your iPad and Smart Cover will survive and be workable once dried out!
