What does it mean when the cover is labeled as (PRODUCT) RED? Are there any differences as to where or how it was made?

Actually, anything with (PRODUCT) Red on Apple's site means that if you buy it, part of the money will go to a fund to help fight AIDS in Africa. It isn't made differently or anything.

When a manufacturer labels a product as PRODUCT (RED), they are indicating that a portion of the money money from that product will go towards fighting AIDS in Africa. This cover is identical to all the others, no special features except the red color used in the campaign. And no additional cost to you.
