Does the black smart cover get dirty as quickly as the old iPad 1 Apple made case?
Since its black would that mean it would pick up dirt quicker? Would I be better off getting a coloured one?

Probably! Almost anything touched by human hands gets dirty.

no the black smart cover is the same as the coloured case and it stays fairly clean as long as you don't purposely get it dirty
