Does the smart cover work for the original iPad?
My daughter gave me an iPad for my recent birthday and I wonder about a cover for it. Does the iPad Smart Cover work on all iPads? Does it completely cover the iPad for travel?

The Smart Cover only works with the iPad 2. This is because it attaches to the iPad 2 using magnets. These magnets are only in the iPad 2. Also, the Smart Cover only covers the front of the iPad 2 (the screen). There are 3rd-party cases for the iPad 2 which cover the back of the iPad 2 and still work with a Smart Cover.

Does the Smart Case have an extra magnet to hold the cover in place on the back? The Smart Cover does not hold very strongly when in the back.
