Can I use the airport extreme base station with another hard drive, especially one with redundant drives?

The Time Capsule does not have "Redundant Drives" it will store up to its capacity but does not directly offer redundant drive support. If you wish to set up redundant network storage get a Hard drive rack and raid them as you would server drives so if one fails you do not lose your data. in that configuration they should also be HOT SWAPPABLE meaning you can take them out independently and replace them as needed with-ought shutting down the system to do it.
