My mini's airport extreme does not work. Can I substitute the base station or do I have to cure the mini/airport problem first?
I currently use a wired network connect my Mini to the internet and to share the internet connection with my wife's PC. I use a wireless network to sync my Ipod Touch and BlackBerry Storm with the Mini. The Mini wifi, for unknown reasons, recently quit working so I can't sync my wireless devices via the Mini.
Questions: Using the AEBS does the internet connection with mini have to be wireless or could it be wired (since the mini's airport is not working) and everything else wireless? (modem-AEBS-Mini wireless devices) OR do I have to cure the Mini problem and then go wireless? (modem-AEBS Mini and wireless devices). (The hyphens represent wires, the spaces wireless.)
I am new at wifi networks so I may be going about this in exactly the wrong way.

To make your mini part of your network, connect an Ethernet cable from mini to AEBS. The mini will then be able to interact with anything else on your network, whether it would be connected wirelessly or wired.
