is the version 5.5.2 of airport utility reliable?

I have previously agreed to update airport as suggested by software update (automatically) but my network would not work at all and I had to re-install EVERYTHING including the system. This was about 2 years ago. Once bitten twice shy. I have never updated the airport software since and wanted to know if there were any known problems before I do.

    Certainly is reliable, as I'm using it with a four-year old 802.11n Extreme, as well as with current model Extremes on five different networks.
