Is the Airport Extreme compatible with Windows 7?
I haven't had the bank-roll yet to switch to a Mac, so I am stuck with my PC running Windows 7 (which was NOT my idea). The product decription says it works with Windows XP (SP3) and Vista (w/SP1 or later).
I need a new router TONIGHT, and I want to get the top of the line. This AirPort Extreme seems to be what I am looking for, I just don't want to have to mess around with changing my PCs operating system.
Thanks for any help!

You won't have any problem. Simply install the AirPort Utility for Windows from the included CD onto your Windows 7 computer, connect everything (the power cable last), and open AirPort Utility and follow the onscreen instructions.
You'll probably be advised early on that there is a (free, quick and easy, small) software update available from Apple for your new AirPort Utility, and once that's installed you'll be able to install the latest firmware update to the Extreme. These updates were just posted Dec. 16, so they won't have shown up on the hardware in inventory this fast.- Answered by Andrew H from Carmel

Yes, it is...
I have used it with Win 7, XP, Vista etc. The only problem I had was using WPA2 Enterprise with a radius server, Win7 has a totally convoluted and lame process for setting up that type of security. If you use WPA2 personal it should be a snap, but then again, it is windows.
They AEBS will not be your problem if you have one, it will, as always be Windows stupid design and buried / hidden checkboxes that will be the issue.- Answered by Paul S from Scotts Valley
