Is it possible to connect a 1TB 'network' hard drive via ethernet cable to my airport extreme base station?
I have bought a network drive case and a 1TB hard drive in it. Connected via ethernet cable to my airport extreme base station. It doesn't show up. And I see only references on USB drives in the knowledge base.
Is it even possible to connect a network drive like this? Or did I forget something technical, like formatting the hard drive or assigning an IP or something?

Certainly, just configure the network drive as a DHCP client.
