Only one Ethernet port is ever needed on the Motorola.
Before connecting the Extreme to anything, first install the software from the included CD onto your iMac, assuming it meets the minimum System Requirements noted above.
Then connect your Ethernet cable from the Motorola box to the Ethernet WAN port of the Extreme (an Ethernet cable is not included with the Extreme). After connecting to the Extreme whatever other devices you will be using, plug the Extreme and the other devices into power and use AirPort Utility to setup the Extreme along with your network and other devices.- Answered by Andrew H from Carmel
