No, plenty of AirPort Extremes are used to create wireless networks for PC owners with no Macs, but your computer must meet the minimum System Requirements for setup and administration that are listed above for this particular model.

To put it simply, no. The Airport Express is PC/Mac compatible and is a great way to introduce yourself and your work environment to the mac platform.
