can it replace BT homehub3?

the BT infinity homehub3 is driving me crazy - it loses the connection all the time.
Have been told replacing it with a non-BT model would work - as MacBookPro owner, I'd love to buy this - if it works.
Any ideas, anybody?

    If you have BT Infinity, this can replace your Home Hub 3, it took all of 5 minutes to do this. and there are many posts on here telling you how to do it.

    unfortunately this is not a modem and cannot replace the BT Home Hub, however that being said, i had the same thing you had and i got one of these and connected it to the gig port (number 4) and disabled the wifi on the home hub and told the airport to make the network, its works fantastic, its perfect, still restart it once a day but other than that its great

    P.S. if u call bt and talk to them they will give u a replacement hub :P
