how long is the cable from the monitor to power the laptop please

Actually, the Thunderbolt and Power cable are hard wired at fixed lengths from the monitor. They are plenty long enough to reach my MB Air which I keep next to the monitor. I don't know if there are extension cables available or not for these connecting cables.

Currently there are two available lengths of Thunderbolt cable, two meters and half meter. They can be found in the Apple Store under Shop Mac > Mac Accessories > Cables.
