will the new apple remote work with iphone 4 dock

the iphone 4 dock description does not say if the dock has IR built in. I just purchased the Apple remote to use with the dock but now I am not sure the two will be compatible. thanks.

    Nope, there is no IR receiver in this dock, it is only available with the 'Universal Dock', therefore the remote will not work with this dock.

  • No. The Apple Remote will however work with the universal dock.
