will normal docks work with the iphone 4?

I was just wondering: if you want to use a dock, do u need this?

    Yes as long as it has the same charger port for any other Apple device

  • I have the older dock with the mini stereo audio out. It works fine. The phone will give you a dismissible warning that the dock isn't optimized for the iphone4. It actually charges and works perfectly. Won't do video with the old dock though. The old ihome doc works the same way
