  • No, Mac OS X is a competing Operating System to Windows 7. OS X runs on Macs, Windows 7 runs on PCs.

However, one can install Windows 7 on a Mac using BootCamp Assistant that comes with Snow Leopard. Afterwards one can start up the Mac in either Mac OS X or Windows 7. There are also some virtual programs (Parallels and Fusion, for example) that allow one to run Windows in a separate window at the same time as running Mac OS X.

MS Office 2010 and 2013 are Windows 7 applications.
For the Mac, the "equivalent" application is "MS Office 2011 for Mac".

Documents prepared in Office 2010 and 2013 can be used with Office 2011, and vice versa. Although there may be some formatting/layout differences when opened on the other platform.
