  • Best Answer:

Upgrading from Tiger to Snow Leopard requires the Mac Box Set, which includes Snow Leopard, iLife ’09, and iWork ’09. You could purchase the Family Box Set which will allow you to upgrade from both Tiger and Leopard.

  • You need to have the box set to upgrade the computer with Tiger, but it would be most cost effective for you to get the family pack of Snow Leopard upgrade with the single pack of the Box Set.

  • You need to make sure that your mac running tiger is Intel-based or not. This means the processor is built by Intel. Most and usually all macs that run Tiger are not Intel but are Power-PC and are not able to upgrade to Snow Leopard. There are ways but it is costly. The Leopard computers should upgrade with no problems because they are built on the Intel Processors.
