Each Mac needs to be running Snow Leopard (OS 10.6.6 or later) in order to download and install Lion. Also, to run Lion, each Mac needs to have at least an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. An "Intel Core Duo" processor will not work with Lion.

Be aware that Lion is the first OSX to discontinue support for Rosetta, which means any application not written native to the Intel processor will not run. So if you have applications older applications (such as MS Office 2004) they will not run.
