I am running 10.4.11 on a Mac with intel core duo. I think I probably need to upgrade to latest os (Lion?). What is the best way to go about this?

If you have an "Intel Core Duo" you can not upgrade to Lion. You have to have at least "Intel Core 2 Duo".

If you have a processor supported by Lion, then first upgrade to Snow Leopard (OS10.6). Update to OS10.6.8. Then download and install Lion (OS10.7).
