I am buying a MacBook Pro VERY soon. I don't want to have to wait for Mac OS X Lion to come out later next year. Will I be able to upgrade later?

Yes you will be able to buy an upgrade disc for your MacBook Pro when Mac OSX Lion comes out. Which should be later this year. You may want to wait a couple more weeks because Apple usually revamp their MacBook Pro's in January.
