How do i tell what operating system I have?

    All you need to do is go to the Apple icon in the upper lefthand corner of your computer screen, it will open a menu and the first option says about this mac. It will open a screen and have scrolling text. The very first line will show you which operating system you have.

    10.5 - Leopard
    10.6 - Snow Leopard
    10.7 - Lion
    10.8 - Mountain Lion

  • To find out what version of Mac OS X you have, you click on the Apple Logo in the left conner of your screen. Then, you click on "About This Mac".
