  • Keep in mind that when on a full charge, rechargeable batteries are only 1.2 (not 1.5) volts. Most battery meters "expect" a AA battery to be 1.5 volts. If you test a fully charged rechargeable, the meter will indicate a low battery. Also, most heavy draw devices need 1.5 volts & will display a "low battery" warning at 1.2 volts.

  • Yes, they will power your other AA (NiMH) battery powered devises. However, they are ideal for items that are used briefly and then left to sit; wireless mouses, keyboards, etc... What separates these from other batteries/Charger-unit is the draw of juice when just sitting (30mW vs. 315 mW).
