No. A wireless network has two parts: Internet service that terminates in a modem supplied by your service provider (cable, DSL, or satellite,company) and a wireless access point, which lets you connect to the Internet over wifi. Sometimes the modem has wifi built in.
This is just the second part. It won't give you a wireless network by itself, but if you have Internet access it will give you wifi access or extend your existing network. It also lets you play music wirelessly (AirPlay), although some people have trouble making this feature work consistently.- Answered by Martin M from Oakland
