when used with a magic mouse, I find that theMagic Trackpad does not work well. motions are jerky. I'd guess the bluetooth signals are getting confused. Shutting off my magic Mouse and the magic trackpad works better.

yes you can use the Magic Trackpad With any mouse from apple or any other manufacture

Yes. I have a Micro$oft wireless mouse connected to my Mac Mini along with the Trackpad. Both work fine together... so far.

I've run my computer with 3 input devices (magic mouse, cirque® trackpad, griffin powermate) OS X doesn't really seem to care, windows seems to be a diff. story as I remember!
