Can it be rotated 180 degrees? This may alleviate some wrist strain complaints.
If the higher point was under the wrist, you would not have to hold your hand prone. The current angle would put too much stress on my wrist.

Yes, it can be rotated 180 degrees with the battery compartment towards you.

I see no option for rotating it. You might try elevating the low end by putting it on a flat object so the trackpad is level or so the "lower" or front end is higher.
