Will this control an iMac when I'm facing the back of the computer?
I have an iMac between the living room and kitchen and when I am in the kitchen, I am facing the back of the iMac. I'd like to control the music with a remote. So...if I am facing the back of an iMac and use the remote, will it still control the computer?

The remote uses infrared technology, which requires line of site. The receiver on an iMac (I believe) is on the front center of the computer, which means the remote will not work if you're behind it. Sometimes the IR will bounce off a wall or other reflective surface and work, but this is spotty at best and won't work if the total distance is more than 30ft or so.
