Where's the IR receiver on the iTouch? I don't know where I'm suppose to point my remote when I try to pair it.

I'm pointing the remote directly at the screen of my iPod Touch, and holding down "Right" and "Menu" like the manual says. I'm just not sure where I'm suppose to point it, I don't know where the IR receiver is . Can you help me out?

The iPod Touch does not have a built in Infra-red receiver, and thus to use the Apple Remote with it you need to use the universal iPod dock.

  • The Apple Remote requires the iPod Universal Dock. The remote does not work without the iPod Universal Dock.
