What is the warranty offered by Apple for AirPort Extreme? Is there a AppleCare that customers can buy? Thanks

There is a one year limited warranty from Apple that comes with the purchase of the AirPort Extreme. If you buy the AirPort with a Mac and you decide to buy the Three-Year Protection plan for the Mac, then your Extreme will have a 3 year warranty with it.

According to Apple Customer Support, Apple Care protection is not available for Airport Extreme, even if you purchase it with a Mac that is covered. Airport Extreme only has a 1 year warranty.
