Portability and durability of this keyboard?
I've been looking for a case/keyboard combo for my ipad and none of them seem to provide enough protection. So I've decided on a hard case and probably this keyboard. I was just wondering whether this keyboard will be ok in my laptop bag every day taking it to uni etc? It's not like I throw these things around, but sitting on public transport etc I'm worried about the keys taking a bit of bumping.

Hello! I am currently looking for the same thing you are... A bluetooth keyboard that I can carry around for daily use that won't get banged up in my laptop bag. I used this Apple Keyboard for about three months last summer doing exactly that, and before long keys started popping off. Like you, I am not exactly going off-road with this thing, just a normal commute to and from work, but just being in my laptop bag provided enough wear and tear to render the keyboard useless. I currently have the solar powered Logitech keyboard, which feels slightly more durable, but I haven't put it through it's paces for fear of doing the same thing. I have been searching around for a keyboard built with the commuter in mind, and I have been surprised to find nothing suitable. I just saw on a google search that you can get a keyboard case, which should do the trick, but in the spirit of Apple's innovative and minimalist design principles, I am hoping for a mre more streamlined approach!
In summary, I do not recommend the Apple Wireless Keyboard for commuter use. It's great for at home, but then again so is a full on laptop or desktop. I hope this is helpful, and if you find a better solution, please let me know!
