Can you use this keyboard with an apple laptop closed while using a seperate monitor?

I am going to buy a Macbook Pro. I plan on using it with a separate monitor. Is it possible to use this keyboard with the screen closed?

    Yes. Check "Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer" in Set Preferences, Bluetooth, Advanced... to allow keyboard or mouse input to wake the computer (without having to open it).
