With the magsafe and the mini-display being on opposite side on the MacAir, how does the combined usb/mini-display/magsafe cable works ?
The picture presented of the new display are not very clear. It looks like there would not be enough 'free' cable to connect both the magsafe andthe mini-display on a MacAir

The most recent models of all of the MacBooks, including the MacBook Air, are all compatable with the 27" LED Cinema Display. No adapters or extensions are required. Starting in late '10, the MacBook Air features two external USB ports, one on each side. The three way cable allows for ~20" between any two connectors.
