vertical display for the Aplle LED Cinema Display 27"
Hello everyone ,
Can anyone tell me if I can use this display with a vertical setting ? I need to work on my photos with my 2007 and 2008 iMac 24",or with my macbook Pro, but I would like to see the photos/result of the pictures on the extra cinema display 27 " just near my iMac, with the 27" cinema display standing vertical and showing a vertical image.
Does it have the same feature as the newst iPhones and iMacs, allowing a vertical display of the panel screen and of the photos ?
Is this possible ? Can it be done ? Any restriction ?

you can change the resolution but the cinema display stand wont allow you to rotate the actual monitor.
you'd have to get the vesa mount adapter and a vesa stand that supports rotating to wake it work.- Answered by Ellen M from Houston

Yup, it works. After connecting the display, you can go over to your iMac's system preferences. Click "displays" and you can set the resolution, duplicate screen, etc. Somewhere in there you will find "vertical display" or something. That will allow you to choose either tilt your display of your iMac or your Cinema Display.
