Can it work with a New Apple TV?

  • You might be able to use the Belkin AV360™ Mini DisplayPort Converter for 27" iMac to be able to connect this display to an HDMI source, but that adaptor costs more than an Apple TV so you would really have to have a specific need for something like this. Even if you did that, mini displayport does not transmit audio to the speakers on the monitor so you would be without sound.

No - the new Apple TV (and old Apple TV, for that matter) only support HDMI output - and this only supports Mini Displayport input. There are options to use a third party video format converter, but it'll likely cost $200+, so I suggest just buying another vendor's 27 inch display with HDMI input if that is your aim.

  • You can also have sound from your autdio optical out if you choose not to use HDMI sound.

  • No. The AppleTV outputs through an HDMI port. This display has a mini-displayport input.
