NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 Graphics Upgrade Kit for Mac Pro (early 2009)

Im needing to upgrade my Mac Pro v1,1 (2007). Will this card work on this version. Its not PCI-2, just PCI Express. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My ATI Radeon X1900 is so loud lately, want to get the jump on getting a new video card that is quieter.

Ive searched all over, and its pretty hard to find info on what video card I can upgrade my mac pro with.

Its 2007, MacPro1,1. 2.66 Dual-Core Intel Xeon. Bus speed is 1.33GHz

Much appreciate any help. I know that some people commented that it worked on 2007 models, but did not give any descriptions of if I needed PCI 2.

  • I just bought one based on similar comments here saying that it should work in my 2007 1,1 . No video out so far. Fan on the 120 was also louder than the fan on the NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT my Mac Pro shipped with. I'll post again if I can get it working, but its not looking very hopeful.
