Can the Apple Dual-Channel 4Gb Cards from the PowerMac G5's be used on the Mac Pros and vice versa?

The new cards seems to look like the older Powermac G5 cards. Are the old and new interchangeable from PowerMac to Mac Pro and vice versa?"

    Older PowerMac G5s had the PCI-X bus whereas the Intel Mac Pros use PCI-Express. The 2005 Power Mac G5 computers made the switch to PCI-e. The Dual-Channel 4Gb card can only be used in PCI-e (PCI-Express) slots which are found in all Intel Mac Pros and Intel Xserves. If you successfully used the fibre card in your PowerMac G5 it was one of the later G5 models so you should be fine. You can always check the manuals at "(http)://manuals.info.apple.com" for your particular G5 to identify what bus you have.
