Will this drive work in my two year old MacPro? Barracuda ES.2 SATA 3.0-Gb/s 1-TB Hard Drive ST31000340NS
When I purchased my MacPro I maxed it with 4 750gig hard drives. I would like to replace one of them with a 1TB drive.

if you're asking if the drive you listed in your question will work in your Mac Pro, then the answer to that question is also yes. the Mac Pro is designed to use SATA I/II hard disks.
to be doubly sure, you can refer to the system profiler in your utilities folder to see if you have a Serial-ATA controller installed in your machine, of which you should have. AFAIK all Mac Pros have SATA hard disks.- Answered by MO from Las Vegas

Yes the ST31000340NS works in the MacPro.
Check the firmware, SN06 or newer is preferred. Older firmware "can" be flashed to SN06 but its a bit of a procedure.
