Does it work on granite and marble countertops without having to use a mousepad?

    No - I was very disappointed to find it didn't track properly on granite and I've gone back to my old mighty mouse which works fine, as don't want to use a mat. I expect this will also apply to glass topped tables etc. Apple should warn about this as there must be a lot of people using these in their kitchens or in cafes.

  • As long as there is some variation to the surface, it will work. It will work better on a mousepad, though.
