    Yes, the touch pad is used to replace the scroller ball / scroller wheel function horizontally and vertically. You still move the mouse for your on screen cursor.

  • You move the mouse just like any other mouse. But the laser tracking makes it so much more accurate. The clicking and touch on the top is what makes it so cool! It click like the last mouse Apple had, but now you have a full touch on top for scrolling, zooming, and going back and forth through your browser.

  • Yes, it is a normal mouse in that respect. The clever bit is the scrolling as you just move your finger up/down where a wheel/roller ball would be.

    The 2 finger swiping gestures are for back/forward on Safari etc

  • Its like any mouse, you move the mouse to move the cursor and click, but the difference is that it has multi-touch which means the top is like the scroll ball.
