Can I use my magic mouse for gestures in Lion instead of having to go buy a magic trackpad?

Not really.

Differences:

+ Mission Control
- Launch with three finger swipe up on trackpad, two finger tap (or maybe double tap) on Magic Mouse
- Change spaces with three finger swipe left or right on trackpad, two finger swipe on Magic Mouse

+ Launchpad
- Launch with pinch on trackpad, cannot launch from Magic Mouse gesture (I think, don't anticipate using launchpad much)
- Really irritating: change page of apps with two finger swipe on trackpad, one finger on Magic Mouse (took forever to figure that one out).

Similarity:

+ Two finger scrolling works the same way on both.

Hope for the future?

You can't configure gestures in system prefs, just turn them on or off. Hoping MagicPrefs is updated to allow configuration!

who says it can't be accessed with Magic Mouse,
you can download a Cool app called "MagicPref" > you can then modify alot of new moves for your magic mosue
just for hint > don't download the Lion version > downlaod the snow Leopard one
you can add your own script or lunch application of a keybaord shortcut unlike the new Lion version

so i can open linchpad with 4 fingues gestures with my magic mosue. and when i swipte 3 finger up it show the desktop .. etc
