If you're new to recording software, use Garage Band. It's a good way to get used to a DAW (digital audio workstation, a fancy term for computer recording). Logic is a great tool but there is a learning curve involved. Also, Garage Band comes with your Mac for free, while you have to pay for Logic (although it is much cheaper than most other DAWs).
