I use a VGA splitter to use a monitor & a projector in a classroom. Make sure you get the correct male/female for your usage.

It Depends on use, do you want to not use your macbook pro's monitor and two others? Or have three?
for three you'll need another graphics card and an output adapter, another Processor would be a good idea. to not use your macbook's monitor you just need a output- Answered by Tryx C
