What docking adapter do I need for an iPhone 3GS to dock into a Bose SoundDock Series II to ensure the Bose connector does not break?
The Bose SoundDock Series II supports the iPhone and uses Apple's Universal Dock system, however:
1. When inserting the iPhone, it is difficult to align the phone into the connector
2. The iPhone wobbles forward and back when selecting new songs while in the dock (causing stress on the connector.)
Is there an adapter from Apple which eliminates these problems?

There is no adapter made for the Series II SoundDocks. Unlike the former SoundDock model, Series II comes with a universal insert that fits all ipod & iphone models. The insert itself will support the connector and prevent breakage. That being said, my SoundDock connector has been giving me trouble lately. I keep getting the infamous "This Accessory Is Not Made To Work With iPhone. Would You Like To Turn On Airplane Mode...." error every few minutes. I have to sellect No or Yes and then push Play to continue the music playback. It seems to work better if I pull the iphone forward a little, making a tighter connection to the connector pins. Maybe they should have included custom fit adapters like their original model, then maybe the iphone would line up better with the connector and eliminate this problem. I will be sending mine back for an exchange seeing it is still under warrantee. Hope this helps.
