Will this continue to work on my Mac Mini Server if I reload it with Snow Leopard Client?

The question was concerned with whether the superdrive would work on a Mac Mini Server if it was reloaded with Snow Leopard Client. My testing indicates that this is the case. I'd still be interested to know if this external Superdrive works on the non-server versions of the latest generation of Mac Minis.

The difference between the MacBook Air and the Mac Mini Server versus other Macs is that their USB controller allows 1,000 milliamps instead of the normal 500 milliamps. The SuperDrive needs the 1,000 milliamps to run properly, so it won't run on the other Macs.
You CAN modify the SuperDrive to work on other Macs or even PC's, but that will void the warranty.- Answered by RK from Jubbega

I think what the question is: Does this Apple MacBook Air SuperDrive work with the Mac Mini Server with Snow Leopard, since this Mac Mini DOESN'T have a CD/DVD in it like the regular Mac Mini does?
I would think it does. Please confirm.- Answered by HP from Palo Alto
