Do I need to download software for my apple keyboard with numeric keypad??

  • The instruction booklet that came with the keyboard says you do need to download the software. The keyboard software may (not sure) be downloaded via the apple icon on the desktop/Software Upgrade.

  • I cannot answer for a PC but for a mac - No. It is 'plug n play'.

    We sometimes have problems with the keyboard we are using (not an Apple one) on our MacMini because it is plugged into a USB hub and need to quickly unplug and plug back in the keyboard after restarting. That's the only keyboard problem we have had. When changing keyboards, it instantly works.
