Does the Apple Dock connector to USB cable work with a first generation original ipod?

    The first generation iPod did not use the 30-pin dock connector that has now become standard on all Apple portables. Instead it used a FireWire cable for song updating and charging so unfortunately no, you are not able to use the Apple Dock connector to USB cable with it.
