Can I install this battery myself, or do I take it to a service center?
My MacBook battery shows no signs of life, and I need to replace it. Can I take the old one out and install the new one myself, or is it complicated enough that I need to take it to a service center or the Apple Store?

It is easy to replace. Use a quarter to turn the lock on the back, lift the old battery out, put the new battery in, lock it back up. The Apple Store would likely do it free for you, but there is nothing to it-- it is made to be user replaceable.
