Does the Ipod nano (6th gen) need the receiver, or is it already built in?

I have the 6th Generation Ipod Nano. I'm wondering if I need the Receiver for the Nike+ Sensor, or will the Ipod sense the Nike+ Sensor when I buy it and turn it on?

Also, Does the 6th Generation Ipod Nano even need the Nike+ Sensor and/or Receiver?

  • If you have an iPod nano 6th generation, you will need the product kit, which includes the receiver in order for the sensor to work.
If you use the iPod nano to just listen to music, no you will not need the receiver and sensor. Only if you need it to work out it does.
