Does it have to be at the bottom of my shoe under my foot or anywhere else?

I do not have nike shoes, i have addidas and i just got them. i really dont feel like buying nike shoes so does the sensor have to be below my foot or anywhere on the shoe?

  • In a Nike+ shoe, it's under the sole, facing flat (face up). I'm sure it will work any way you face it, but, just for comparison, that's where it's placed in the shoe.
